After a walk of 2 km surrounded by flower and fauna with incredible mountain ranges and rocks, you will enjoy nature at its best. During the rainy Ensenada season a river form that guides you to a majestic cascade of 15 meters. If you want a more sedentary experience, get ready to enjoy a picnic in nature. It is ideal for camping or spending the day. In the shades of the trees and the creek you will be in a cool climate place, but during the day the temperature can reach 30 C remember you are in between the Pacific and the desert, so when the sun goes down temperatures can get considerable low. If your idea is camping, be sure to carry everything you need.
El Salto is small Ensenada super rural enclave, it only has 12 inhabitants and although natives indigenous culture has been lost, you can still see some preserved ruins and old settlements. The cost to access the area is $ 4.00 per person. A familiar place that has picnic tables and grills, if you like cycling is always a good idea to bring your bike with you, you will find many biking trails in excellent condition with amazing landscapes and scenery. During the weekends you can try rappelling, climbing, and hiking.
On your way to el salto, you will see many entrances to ranches, some of which will sell you delicious jams, wines, sweets, bread and other products.
If you are climbing el salto, bring some ropes as anchors are fixed along the rock wall that oversees the waterfall. Also keep in mind that rocks and terrain may be slippery because of the waterfall. Remember always to practice safety in Baja!
